A LITTLE DRONE. A WHOLE NEW POINT OF VIEW.THE NEXT CHAPTER STARTS HERE
+How it could work

Technology in service of a better angle

Less flying.
More following.

TREAD is being explored as a connected camera platform with a grounded drive system, a subject-aware recording mode, and controls that make its movement feel approachable. These are design directions, not final specifications.

+The proposed capture system

A lens that watches the action without taking over the action.

The camera direction is about readable, immersive footage rather than a race for a spec sheet. A small, stabilized video system is under consideration so a low angle can remain usable while TREAD is in motion.

Image quality, stabilization behavior, recording modes, and storage are all still open product-development questions. We will share decisions as they are tested rather than presenting unfinished ideas as promises.

+Five design principles

A smaller control surface. A clearer creative intent.

Every part of the proposed system should earn its place by helping someone make a shot they could not comfortably make before.

  1. 01

    Camera

A compact video camera is the center of the concept, designed around a low, forward-looking frame rather than aerial footage.

  2. 02

    Subject tracking

Proposed tracking tools would help TREAD keep a selected person, pet, or moving subject in the composition. Real-world reliability needs validation across changing light and busy scenes.

  3. 03

    Simple controls

We are exploring direct controls for starting, steering, framing, and recording, with room for manual creative choices when automation is not the right answer.

  4. 04

    Thoughtful terrain

Twin treads are intended to handle everyday transitions better than a static camera, but terrain capability is not finalized. TREAD should not be assumed to be waterproof, weatherproof, or suitable for every surface.

  5. 05

    A clear stop

A dedicated, physical stop button is a core direction: a quick, understandable way to halt drive motion when the moment changes.

+The hard parts matter

Grounded does not mean effortless.

Small moving hardware has real constraints. Tracking a subject through shifting scenes, balancing battery life with recording time, choosing safe behavior around people and pets, and building a reliable tread system are all active questions—not details to gloss over.

The development goal is to make those trade-offs visible and testable before any production commitment. No performance claims are final today.
